GBEC brings together leading providers of competitive employment and rehabilitation services for individuals with disabilities to provide a comprehensive set of services. It also includes the extensive resources one-stop career centers; the expertise of key public agencies; and the active engagement of major employers in the region’s largest industry sectors.

GBEC goals include:
  • To provide employers with screened and qualified candidates
  • To provide job seekers with quality employment opportunities, and
  • To provide both employers and individuals with resources andpost-placement support, as needed.

Everyone involved in the GBEC profits from sharing strategies and building partnerships, as well as from the new ideas and possibilities that emerge from a diverse group of dedicated professionals.

We are happy to announce that the Zelma Lacey House of Charlestown and the Oak Square YMCA are our first recipients of GBEC's Exemplary Employer Awards.
